With that in mind, and in keeping with the concurrent pouring out of New Wine upon the earth (the awakening of consciousness to new human levels of thought and action) the Whole Earth Family Traveling Show, and the idea of such a thing, represents an example, and will (at least if I have anything to do with it) be a living example of alternatives; consciousness, energy, resources, and use of resources both human and natural.

The show is a community action which can, should and will fulfill the following missions;

1. Showcase the use of alternative energy such as photovoltaic technology, and wind generation, with available resource and documentation with reference to water generation as well.

     The first Whole Earth Family band (currently called 'Fam') will be an example of a plug-in component-like system that will (when final alternative power sources are secured) be able to provide a small stand-alone stage powered by solar and wind, a portable component that could easily be 'plugged into' another similar component for a larger scene. The music, and sound system is done and tested. Tentative launch for this part is sometime spring 2006. Performances by Fam may occur locally before then.

2. Showcase and support alternative philosophies oriented towards providing solutions.

      Encouraging trade and barter, 'cottage industry' products, and locally produced food, crafts, and other things including bio-fuels. Educating the American public about the incredible value of hemp fiber, and the medicinal wonder of marijuana. Teaching positive faith-based (Faith as a human attribute is not exclusive to just one religion or religious sect) systems as displacing solution to the current fear-based systems of government and commerce.

3. Providing a free, safe, and inspirational environment for community gathering, socializing, and discussion of higher ideals than those propagandized on television.

      Television, and the hyper-media of the 21st century has gone beyond entertainment, and taken up an unhealthy place in all of our lives. For reasons which don't give much flattery to the modern human's ability to make informed and  proper decisions based on his or her knowledge and experience, TV has replaced the normal activities of life, and experience, letting the human spirit grow lazy. TV allows ignorance to flourish, rather than spread empowerment and beneficial knowledge. Like so many other corrupted components of our society, the television and the greed-powered media moguls of modern times have agendas which preclude such things as clear and total honesty in reporting events (only if an event has spectacular or extraordinary attributes - usually negative, does it make it into the mainstream media) or featuring exclusive selected talent approved by the latest political philosophy (which has always been about the rich vs the rest of the world).

      Think of this as a kind of traveling Barter Fair, perhaps utilizing some of the framework already in place, but with more emphasis on alternatives to the failed systems we have been forced to accept and work with up to this crux of human destiny. 'Entertainment,' in the current mainstream interpretation has very little to contribute to the 'providing solutions' theme that is within this idea, and the idea of a Whole Earth Family. To be entertained by music, art, drama, and literature...towards a clear and honest goal, now that is Entertainment!

      It's going to take some doing, and though there are many similar appearing concepts, and even some events, the idea here is about establishing faith based systems, not compromising with fear based systems (capitalism, materialism, propriety...to name a few). The compromises that we all have made with the fallen, corrupted, archetypical principalities has gained us little over the millennia.

      As an example, the Fam component will feature alternative energy, alternative 'entertainment,'  and alternative philosophy. We will have a portable stage, powered by solar and wind which is capable of putting on a lengthy show to a small gathering of people, virtually anywhere.

THINK SMALL!

      Ever since the first Woodstock Concert struck fear into the Republic, their first reaction was of course to infiltrate, negotiate, introduce the boys in the band to some nice opium derivate of some kind or another, and sign 'em up for an exclusive contract. That little scenario effectively cut the balls off the musical heroes that got us to Woodstock in the first place. By 1975 the Rock Star no longer related to the gut-level live experience that originally inspired them, and though some of the really brilliant artists amongst them continued to at least try to uphold the truth, their credibility had already been bought by the money, and all that the money could buy. For some it was a very brief journey. Some few are still at it. Most of the rest now belong to the social club that they originally rebelled against. They have become respected members of the Republic.

      So now all the media created 'stars' usually perform in 'mega concert' fashion; Large stadiums and concert halls, hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on every performance for 'light shows,' choreographed dance segments-with intense focus on sexually provocative costuming, and other props and technology. Of course this generates an entire niche industry where people are paid slave wages to do the work, and the artists themselves usually end up without a whole lot to show for it. Those 'shows' charge up into the hundreds of dollar range for tickets, and because of the media support and all that industry gas for their dandies, they get the public to put up the bucks.

      Somebody is getting a lot of money. A lot of energy is being consumed, dare I say 'wastefully'? People have to expend a lot of that energy just getting the kind of resources it takes to go to one of those 'shows.' Raves offered the youth an alternative for a while, but the abuses of 'ecstasy' all but destroyed that movement.

      In the Whole Earth Concept, every thing starts at home, with the family and the community. There is enough of a demand for the very things that this traveling show could offer, and much much more as well in every community in the world. The very same factors that fuel the mighty engines of the mega concerts, fuel the local based Whole Earth Family shows with far less waste of time and resources.

      A few hundred people gathered together for friendly social discussion, and shared experience can be just as exciting, fulfilling, and profound as any major production with better odds that more of the attendees will have such an experience, and most likely in a much more real and lasting way.

      It is dependant on a semi-rural environment, a little nature buffer zone, but that limitation would of course be relative to the feelings of any one particular community.

Think small.

The effects achieved in small increments, can and do eventually add up to greater results for far less use of time, energy, and resources. The waste of this current society is evident in all its representations and the slightly-hidden-but-not-gone mountains of garbage and refuse. The music industry is a perfect example of exploitation and waste.

Every community in this country has an untapped reserve of willing, and able talent that is comparable in quality, content and performance to the most high end stage production. The fact that the corporate legislature which runs the music industry has successfully duped the world into believing in their ‘specialness’ , and that it is an exclusive realm only reached through their proscribed mediums is a slap at any intelligent creative being.

Every community has public parks, now restricted and under control of the various city and county governments, which are for the most part lesser members of the Governmental Social Club, but once those parks were free to the people to assemble, socialize and participate in local events such as concerts, plays, and dances. Various county, and city ordinances were created to specify and limit public access to these facilities, and the ‘free’ aspect was replaced by the ‘fee’ aspect. The political social clubs of contemporary cities and townships in America, and most especially concerning county governments, are in fact as corrupt as any institution ever. What is explicitly intended, and clear to all but ambitious lawyers, is the foundation of representative government as defined in the United States Constitution. That foundation is reasonably, and with common sense established as “THE PEOPLE.” Not “THE RICH PEOPLE” or “ONLY THE WHITE PEOPLE” or “ONLY THE BLACK PEOPLE” or any other group whose interests go beyond and in fact are detrimental to the interests of “THE PEOPLE.”

Every community used to have some form of public theater where various local musicians, bands, thespians, and such could demonstrate their talents to the joy of the passersby. Now that access is throttled, forbidden, and strictly controlled by local representatives of ‘Special Interest Groups’, and you must pay the fee, sign the permit, and conform to the particular ‘standards’ of the ruling parties.

Take ‘em back. Start using the parks and Granges, that were originally created for use by the people. Just say “NO” to thugs, and stand with the faith and solidarity of being right and knowing it.

Make it happen all across America. You don’t need to go to the big city to demonstrate your feelings towards the overwhelming errors present in today’s system of greed and exploitation, take back America at home. Your neighbor is your ally, your artists are your true local heroes, never doubt it.

The legal precedents:

This is about a revolution of mind, spirit, and society. It is about further ensuring and proving the sacred precepts of Liberty, Freedom, and personal Sovereignty tentatively established by the founding fathers of this nation. It is action taken to demonstrate with common sense and high intelligence that the people are not only capable and willing to govern themselves, but that they can and already do a better job of it than their so-called but not so actual ‘elected’ representatives.

This is about action and power based on faith and trust as opposed to fear and mistrust. This is about magic and science, belief and knowledge, and the magnificent immensity of potential that exists within motivated liberty, as opposed to ambitious exploitation, and it’s human mechanisms. The machine of humanity, serving successfully only one purpose; to bind your time to servitude of that so said machine. A vicious cycle of intricate weave.

Equality is not a concept it is law.  Use your equality; qualify your freedom. Serve the Truth. Pass it around. If it is truly FREE then you can do that!

      So think small.
